The mission of Gift of Life is to further the cause of world peace and understanding by facilitating free medical services, primarily to children suffering from life threatening heart defects regardless of race, gender, creed or national origin who would otherwise lack access to such services. Gift of Life has recently formed a partnership with the Children’s Hospital of San Diego to sponsor up to 20 children for such surgeries.

Scott Peck has been a member of the Escondido East Rotary Club since 1984. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Scott has lived in North San Diego County since 1971. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a partner in the Escondido based CPA firm of Dunlap, Dunlap and Peck. He lives in Rancho Bernardo with his wife Susan and son Michael. As a Rotarian, Scott has held all officer positions in his club including club President (1996-1997.) He was a regional chair for the Rotary 4 Way Speech test and is currently serving in his third year as district Treasurer. He has been a Foundation mentor as well as annual giving chair for the district. He is also chairing this year’s Foundation Seminar at the Salk Institute. He is a 6 time Paul Harris Fellow, a member of the Paul Harris Society and a Paul Harris Benefactor.
